Injectors for EVA soles and footwear: WINTECH consolidates the reliability of Italian technology
Taking into account the new trends in the manufacture of soles, footwear and technical articles for industrial use, WINTECH of Italy has added a new line of equipment for EVA injection to its technological offer of thermoplastic injection machines.
Although Ethylene Vinyl Acetate -EVA- has been a known polymer for several decades, its use in the footwear industry has recently grown, due to the advantageous comfort conditions it offers to users. Lightness and flexibility are the most outstanding.
To enhance these qualities, the appearance of new manufacturing technologies has been fundamental, which facilitated their processing and final quality control.
These properties of EVA were perceived by the big international brands of sports shoes, which quickly incorporated it to make their soles, and even in final products such as clogs, boots, slides, etc. among which, the famous CROC'S -completely made of EVA- are one of the most emblematic products internationally.
Currently, the use of EVA has been extended to other lines of footwear, such as casual and high fashion. It is to underline that due to its extreme lightness, it was very functional to the voluminous sole trends, since it allows to use volumes with minimum weight.
To respond to current market demands, WINTECH of Italy offers a series of 3 EVA processing equipment, customized according to the needs of each industry and products.
Machine for the production of cross-linked EVA soles, sandals, slides and boots, with a linear configuration, with a pair of mobile injectors, and from 4 to 10 stations. Two models are presented, which are differentiated by the sizes of the mold holder, according to the requirements of each manufacturer and products.
In addition to the standard version that offers molds adapted to the production of soles, sandals and small and medium-sized items, the equipment with larger mold sizes is also available, especially with a longer opening stroke, allowing a quick and agile injection of large EVA items such as high boots, wheels, and bulkier parts.
The system gives ample space to the machine operator during manual tasks, such as mold extraction and cleaning, and release agent application.
