WINTECH improves dual-color EVA injection
Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) is a thermoplastic compound increasingly used in the footwear industry. It is widely applied for the injection of soles as well as finished products -such as slides, sandals, and shoes- thanks to its very low weight and flexibility, which provide maximum comfort to users. While early production systems focused on monochromatic items, recent technological advances have enabled the development of dual-color products, adding aesthetic value.
In this context, the renowned Italian brand WINTECH, has launched its new WE203BiEVA equipment to the footwear market. It is a linear machine with a selectable number of workstations and an operational configuration identical to the monochromatic model, facilitating dual-color molding.
The mold holder is large, with a 430 mm opening, allowing any type of manual operation by the operator. This simplifies the process and enables faster execution.
The Double-platen press features a hydro-mechanical system with a self-compensating differential closure.
The toggle opening is located in the upper door of the mold holder, offering quick opening and extremely smooth movement.
Its linear configuration, without designated operator zones, ensures operation identical to that of the monochromatic machine.
The complete elimination of the injection sprue represents a major technological breakthrough, reducing material waste by 10% to 15%, and offering significant advantages in terms of production efficiency and sustainability.
