Exclusive system for automatic moulds change.

Inside the technological trends research for a better use of soles and footwear production, the OEE concept - general system efficiency - combines availability, performance and quality, was applied by MAIN GROUP TECHNOLOGIES to its machines. In recent years, through specific projects, it has managed to develop state-of-the-art mechanisms and options that significantly increase the OEE in its equipment. Together with energy savings, the OEE has become an indispensable need applied in large and small companies. In increasingly competitive markets, the OEE remains "the overall efficiency of the plant."

Smart technology

With this objective, MAIN GROUP has presented the NTME -No Touch Moulds Exchange-, an exclusive automatic system for changing moulds, which does not need the physical presence of the operator in this task, and adds greater efficiency to the production process. The NTME was designed and built for next-generation PU direct injection machines. The new technological complement is intended for factories that require shorter production cycles, with a reduced number of parts per model. Thus the teams need to make permanent changes of moulds, due to the modeling's own diversity and the quantities requested that tend to be smaller. For this, the NTME intelligent system can manage and program the mould changes automatically during the different work cycles. In this way, the machine stops are reduced to zero and the OEE increases between 10 and 15%.
