Another successful Japanese. Mihara Yasuhiro: The "deformer" of the classics

Through a particular disruptive style, he changes the visual of well-known and traditional sneakers.

The reinvention of conventional models with a special treatment of shapes and volumes confer a marked identity to the products.

With a bit of daring, audacity and irreverence, the Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro set out to "aesthetically intervene" well-known footwear icons, such as the most emblematic of CONVERSE, ALL STAR and other brands, very identified with sneakers of textile materials, uppers with long laces and cupsoles or chunky.

For him, the creation of "irregularities and deformations" in the soles is one of his purposes, transforming the "standardized and industrial" character of many products into more original, artisanal and disruptive options.

Thus, many soles appear to be made of moldable plastic materials -plasticine- and to be in the process of deformation due to the effects of heat. A resource that surprises with its transgressive look.

Mihara Yasuhiro began in 1996, as a clothing designer in his native country, Japan, to later participate in different presentations in Milan and Paris, among others.

Currently he collaborates with important fashion brands, highlighting the exclusive line made with PUMA with his signature "by Mihara Yasuhiro".
