Of English origin and 34 years old, the designer Daniel Lee is in charge of the product development of BOTTEGA VENETA, the Italian-born brand, born in Vicenza, which in 2001 was acquired by the KERING group, based in Paris.
This powerful organization dedicated to the fashion business is also the owner and shareholder of brands such as GUCCI, YVES SAINT LAURENT, SERGIO ROSSI, BOUCHERON, BALENCIAGA, PUMA, STELLA McCARTNEY and ALEXANDER McQUEEN, among others.
Daniel Lee graduated from the renowned Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, to start a prolific career in the design of fashion accessories for renowned firms. Among the brands where he worked and left his creative mark was MAISON MARGIELA, BALENCIAGA and DONNA KARAN, in addition to having been responsible for the aesthetics of CÉLINE's prêt-à-porter.
Since mid-2018, he was hired by BOTTEGA VENETA as creative director, and the development of the entire line of accessories for women and men, including footwear, is under his supervision.
In this last area, Daniel Lee was one of the introducers in the summer lines of bulky materials, such as interwoven of tubular materials and very prominent planes. Also with his proposal began the new period of angular square toes, and sandals and flip flops -high and low- with very few straps.
The particular style of its collections has captivated the preferences of the international market, and sales have exploded in the most famous fashion circuits.
