BASF announced new investments in the world footwear market

In addition to the opening of new Footwear Development Centers in the United States, Thailand and Italy, BASF informed the creation of teams composed of engineers, technicians and experts specialized in footwear, to deepen the research and development tasks for this sector. The centers will serve as a global platform to formulate and test innovations in materials, monitor their processes and evaluate their applications in scale productions.

Among the different industrial segments served by the BASF group in Latin America, the provision of chemical products for tannery stand out, and a wide range of polyurethane, plastic and thermoplastic systems for the manufacture of components and materials for footwear.
