INFINERGY. Used by ADIDAS for the soles of the "Energy Boots"
The German company BASF, world leader in chemical research and production, under the slogan of “Empowering Movement”, launched the new renewed strategy for the brand positioning of its expanded thermoplastic polyurethane (E-TPU).
A material with an exclusive formulation that allows to obtain maximum performance in its applications. Flexibility, lightness, durability, resistance to abrasion, energy return and ease of processing are some of the characteristics that make it superior over conventional products.
According to Dr. Jens Dierssen, of INFINERGY Global Business Management, “this product is synonymous with innovation, that exceeds the limits of chemistry to improve inventions. Through contacts with brands and clients we want to generate an interesting dialogue to explain how INFINERGY can help to develop the potential of design”.
Currently, the product is used in the manufacture of soles and insoles of ADIDAS BOOTS, DUNLOP rackets, ERGON seats, tires, sporting goods and floors.
In Argentina, the manufacturer of safety footwear MAINCAL, produces the VORAN brand with INFINERGY technology, as well as ELTEN in Germany and U-POWER in Italy.
Inspired by the unique shapes and properties of INFINERGY, the showroom comprises three areas:
1. Identity Area. It presents the brand's new philosophy, which helps visitors understand how the product enhances movement in three main sectors: footwear, sports and leisure, and flooring.
2. Exhibition area. Exhibition of successful projects with key partners and clients.
3. Resources Area. Knowledge space that allows the audience to learn about INFINERGY innovations, such as the recently launched black pearls and mini-pearls.
The German manufacturer of footwear and sports equipment uses INFINERGY in the soles of its “Energy Boots” sneakers. With this, it offers greater comfort and excellent properties for running, since the soles immediately regain their original shape after impact. Thanks to this rebound effect resulting from the elasticity of the material, runners consume less energy than before.
As INFINERGY withstands temperatures between -20ºC (-4ºF) and more than +40ºC (+104ºF) without changing its functional properties, ADIDAS footwear can be used at any temperature, whether in winter or in summer.
Another advantage highlighted by the manufacturer is the great long-term durability of the material, which, like the rest of the properties, is significantly better than that of conventional materials.
