Despite having reported last July that it paralyzed its activities for an indefinite period of time, the tanning company CBR (ex-tannery Yoma), located in Nonogasta, of Brazilian origin, contemplates the possibility of reopening in August.
The reasons for the decision, according to the owners, was the lack of supplies to process the hides.
A total of 800 jobs depend on this source of work, while through efforts by the union and the provincial government, it has been achieved that the temporarily suspended personnel collect a percentage of their salaries.
The company exports 98% of its production, of which 60% goes to China.
