From October 23 to 25, 2024, the Poliforum León in Guanajuato hosted the 64th edition of ANPIC Fall-Winter 2024, organized by the Association of Industrial Suppliers of Mexico (APIMEX).
With 843 stands and 263 exhibiting companies, the event solidified its position as a key meeting point for suppliers catering to the fashion industry.
The fair attracted 7,826 buyers from 31 Mexican states and 25 countries, generating sales exceeding 194 million pesos (over US$ 9 million), according to the organizers.
States like Guanajuato, Jalisco, State of Mexico, Mexico City, and Querétaro stood out for their high participation. International visitors included attendees from the United States, Italy, Türkiye, Japan, Brazil, and other countries.
In addition to national participation, international associations such as the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (ASSINTECAL), the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), and the Colombian Association of Footwear, Leather and its Manufactured Goods Industrialists (ACICAM) had notable representation, contributing a total of 37 stands.
The OSS Pavilion emerged as one of the key areas for fostering strategic alliances. This space hosted 26 companies -20 suppliers and 6 manufacturers- facilitating over 60 business meetings daily. International buyers from Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States found unique business opportunities in this pavilion.
Beyond trade, the fair offered a platform for exchanging ideas, with 24 companies participating in networking activities.
During ANPIC FW 2024, the academic agenda featured international expert Ryoji Shoda, Executive Vice President of ASICS, who delivered a talk on how tradition and modernity converge in the Onitsuka Tiger brand.
Fashion trends specialist Alex Barragán analyzed proposals for the Fall-Winter 2025/2026 season. Barragán, who has worked with brands like STEVE MADDEN and FLEXI, provided key insights to remain competitive in the market.
Workshops led by experts such as Diogo Frada and Elizabeth Salim offered strategies on marketing, trends, and innovation. These activities attracted more than a thousand attendees throughout the three days of the event.
The Fashion Cocktail was one of the event’s highlights, featuring three Mexican designers who presented innovative collections. Atenógenes dazzled with "If the moon were a gender," while Jeanette Toscano showcased "La Camelia," inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ work. Montserrat Messeguer concluded with "Frontera," a collection that pays homage to Lowrider urban culture and northern Mexican aesthetics.
Guanajuato Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo emphasized ANPIC’s importance as a leading supply event in Latin America and reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to the industrial sector.
Looking ahead, APIMEX announced the MUSA ANPIC DESIGN FEST 2025, scheduled for March at the Poliforum León. This event will gather 85 companies, focusing on trends, design, and commercial connections. Under the slogan, "Come for the trends, stay for the magic," it aims to inspire and unite the footwear and fashion industry.
