ASSOMAC and UITIC will hold the International Congress on Footwear Technology in 2023 in Italy
Through a face-to-face and online press conference, addressed to national and international media, leaders of ASSOMAC -Italian Association of Technology Manufacturers for the Leather, Footwear and Manufactures Industries- and organizer of the SIMAC-TANNING TECH fair, together with UITIC authorities -International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians- announced their partnership to hold the 21st edition of the International Congress of Footwear Technology, in September 2023, in Milan and Vigevano, Italy.
The programme will include conference and deliberation activities in Milan, complemented by an agenda of visits to Vigevano (35 km from Milan), one of the world's largest footwear technology producing hubs.
The participation of renowned technicians and professionals of different nationalities is expected, who will develop current topics and interest to all attendees, with a view to revealing the future of the footwear industry.
ASSOMAC has 130 associated companies, technology manufacturers, with a presence in 100 countries. Within the total production, a large percentage is destined for exports. As the organizer of the SIMAC-TANNING TECH fair in Milan, from September 20th to 22nd, the event becomes a networking center, where visitors can learn about and access new technological proposals for the industry.
For its part, the organization of footwear technicians -UITIC- has members in 27 countries, and its main activity is to develop and disseminate technological knowledge for the footwear industry, with the congress being the ideal instrument for this purpose.
In the next edition of SIMAC-TANNING TECH, ASSOMAC and UITIC will have their own space for disseminating the congress, in order to provide the necessary information to visitors and interested parties.
The press conference was attended by María Vittoria Brustia, president of ASSOMAC; Yves Morin, President of UITIC; Verónica Squinzi, vice president of ASSOLOMBARDA (regional association); Sergio Dulio, member of the executive committee of UITIC and Roberto Luongo, general manager of the ICE Agency of Foreign Trade of Italy, who pledged his support for the World Congress and for the next edition of SIMAC-TANNING TECH.
