EXICAL attracted buyers from across the country

The advantage of hosting the fair in Córdoba, due to its central and equidistant location, facilitated the arrival of participants from different provinces.

Once again, EXICAL was a key meeting point for exhibitors and buyers to conduct business for the Fall-Winter 2025 season.

The central geographic location of the event venue in the city of Córdoba has been a key factor in attracting exhibitors and buyers from various parts of the country. While the attendance volume remained consistent with previous editions, this advantage allowed for greater diversification of buyers, coming from different regions across the national territory.

Origins of exhibitors and characteristics of the offer

The strong appeal of EXICAL, held from February 1 to 3, 2025, at the Forja Event Center, was reaffirmed by the presence of 148 stands, the majority occupied by exhibitors from Buenos Aires (both the capital and the province), Córdoba, and Santa Fe, mainly from Rosario.

The exhibition for the Fall-Winter 2025 season featured men’s, women’s, and children’s footwear across all categories: formal, sport, casual, and athletic. The collections presented updated fashion trends and a wide variety of prices.

Added value and greater interest

One key highlight was the effort made by the organizers -the Footwear Chambers of Córdoba and Santa Fe-, to enhance the value and services of the fair, creating a more comfortable and engaging environment for participants. A new stand and lighting design system was introduced, improving product visibility and exhibitor identification, along with an efficient climate control system.

Additionally, an intensive promotional campaign was carried out through social media, online actions, and influencer collaborations, resulting in broader event coverage.

Market and business climate

Both exhibitors and buyers generally agreed that the current economic reform policies have impacted household purchasing power, forcing families to prioritize expenses. After a slight recovery at the end of 2024, sales of footwear and apparel declined again in early 2025, directly affecting retailers and manufacturers. Furthermore, in addition to weak domestic consumption, the national footwear industry is now exposed to import liberalization.

Despite varying sales trends, EXICAL exhibitors expressed overall satisfaction with the volume of business transactions, hoping for economic adjustments that will reduce uncertainty and restore market stability.

Next edition in July

The next EXICAL edition for the Spring-Summer 2025/26 season is scheduled for July 5 to 7, 2025, at the Forja Event Center in Córdoba. For this occasion, the participation of exhibitors, visitors, and buyers from all over the country is expected.

Meanwhile, the digital version of EXICAL is now available for interested buyers on the official platform: www.exical.com.
