Footwear and leather goods fair is being prepared in Paraguay
The event is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) and the Taiwan Technical Mission, through the Project to Strengthen the Capacity of the Orientation System for MSMEs of Paraguay (FOMIPYMES).
The objective is to promote and enhance the commercialization of products made with quality raw materials and national labor. The appointment is on August 27th at the Sheraton Asunción Hotel from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. while in the morning the business roundtables will take place.
The opening ceremony will be attended by the main authorities of the MIC and special guests.
The exhibition will bring together more than 45 companies, belonging to the Association of Footwear Manufacturers and Suppliers Unions of Paraguay (AGRECALPY), the Chamber of the Footwear Industry Paraguay (CICPAR), the Association of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ASOMIPYMES ), the Caaguazú Shoemakers Commission and other independent companies from different cities in Paraguay that will participate and present their products.
Likewise, manufacturers of leather footwear, soles and leather goods will be present, in addition there will be an exclusive area where 15 brands of designers, footwear and leather goods manufacturers, will have the opportunity to exhibit their new products, with a focus on innovation and high quality aimed at national and international market.
“The program established by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, through the FOMIPYMES Project, focuses this year on supporting the footwear and leather goods sector. For this reason, technical assistance has been provided to footwear unions and associations, seeking to position brands, supporting with the development of their websites, training in business management, technical training for the manufacture of footwear, quality control for improvement of its production processes and quality standards, and providing comprehensive assistance to companies", concludes the press release of the ministry.
