GALLERY SHOES: Footwear, Clothing and Accesories
It was a live event with more visitors than expected
The German footwear fair -GALLERY SHOES- took place between August 30 and September 1, 2020. The date was shared with GALLERY FASHION, the exhibition mainly related to clothing, while the SHOWROOM CONCEPT (agency showrooms and international premium brands) took place between August 28 and September 1.
The Areal Böhler exhibition center in Düsseldorf was the space chosen to bring together the three events on the same date. According to statements by the General Director of IGEDO Company -Ulrike Kähler- "there was a much higher attendance than expected".
Around 550 brands participated, represented by close to 300 exhibitors and the foreign presence reached 54% of the total.
Activity at the fair also included talks and presentations on trends for Spring / Summer 2021 and forecasts for the upcoming Fall / Winter 2021-2022. A press conference was held on the panorama of the footwear industry and trade in Germany by sectoral entities.
News for future editions
Due to the positive repercussions on the exhibition of products jointly, not limited to a certain sector, the organization of the event decided that the four annual versions of the sample incorporate this merged format.
The next scheduled dates for the celebration of GALLERY FASHION and GALLERY SHOES are between January 30th and February 1st, 2021, with predominance of the first; and from March 7th to 9th, 2021, where the footwear show will prevail.
