MICAM: The world's most important footwear trade fair awaits buyers from around the globe

The event will take place in September in Milan, alongside LINEAPELLE of suppliers, SIMAC-TANNING TECH of technology, and other fashion fairs.


Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the footwear trends for the Spring/Summer 2024 season.

​MICAM MILANO has already set the date for its second edition of the year, spanning four days once again.

In this sense, the Italian footwear fair will take place between Sunday 17th, Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th September 2023, sharing days with the leather goods and accessories show -MIPEL- and the one dedicated to clothing -TheOneMilano-.

Prior to that, the HOMI FashionAndJewels exhibition, focused on jewelry, apparel and accessories, will be held. Thus, the entire fashion industry will converge at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center, including the supplier fairs, taking place from Tuesday 19th, to Thursday 21st: LINEAPELLE, focusing on hides and skins, components, accessories and materials; and SIMAC TANNING TECH, showcasing the latest machinery and technology for footwear, manufactured goods and tanneries.

In addition to being part of a comprehensive offering, MICAM MILANO will be a space to discover the footwear trends for the Spring/Summer 2024 season, featuring material exhibitions, retail innovations, and the participation of emerging designers.

Among the news, the association that brings together Italian footwear manufacturers and also organizes the fair -ASSOCALZATURIFICI-, announced the calendar for the upcoming year. The trends for Autumn/Winter 2024-2025 will be presented from February 18th to 2st1, 2024; while the 98th edition will take place from September 15th to 18th.

Global presence

In February, 988 brands participated in MICAM. Of that total, there was significant international participation, with 541 exhibitors reaffirming the event's global profile.

From Spain, the presence of 100 exhibitors represented a 45% increase compared to the February 2022 edition. The firms were supported by the Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries (FICE) and represented 123 brands.

Additionally, Portugal sent a delegation of 33 companies.

Latin American representation was led by Brazil, with a delegation of 64 brands, making it the third most important at the international level.
