The SAPICA Mexican footwear fair is scheduled for August 2021, to carry out the second edition of the year, as scheduled by the event organizer -Chamber of the Footwear Industry of the State of Guanajuato (CICEG)-.
The decision was made after the satisfactory results obtained in the 84th version of the exhibition, held between March 9th and 11th, 2021, where the next Autumn-Winter trends for footwear and leather goods were presented.
SAPICA opted for a hybrid format, which integrated the live event held at the Poliforum of León in Guanajuato, with the digital platform. Thus, in the three days of exhibition, the fairground received a total of 1,638 visitors. This translated into an increase of 42.5% compared to the October 2020 edition, which had also been carried out in person and digitally.
National buyers grew 42.2% (1,580 visitors), mainly from Guanajuato and Jalisco; while the 58 international ones meant an increase of 52%, coming mainly from the United States.
For its part, 849 visitors accessed SAPICA DIGITAL on the first day, 1,132 on the second and 1,146 on the last day, according to its organizers.
The proposals parallel to the exhibition included the Knowledge Pavilion, referring to "The Fashion and Footwear Industry towards Omni-channelity". The topics addressed included online sales, digital tools, etc.
