Once again, the largest fashion and business platform of footwear and leather goods will be activated from October 6th to 8th at the Poliforum of León, Guanajuato, located in the main producing area of the country.
Traditionally, SAPICA brings together the most recognized national factories and footwear brands, which make up a high-volume and diversified offer in all women's, men's and children's lines.
In the proposal, the typical Mexican manufacture is merged with new technologies that allow the obtaining of innovative and updated products. All within a particular conception of design, with a unique identity, characterized by the application of original cultural guidelines.
Beyond the emblematic cowboy boots, Mexico has witnessed a notable development in casual, sports and children's footwear, without neglecting the production of high fashion lines, by the hand of internationally recognized designers.
The decision to hold the event in a hybrid mode (live and digital) entails the application of the most rigid security measures in a special moment of global health crisis. For this, organizers, specialists, professionals and authorities have agreed protocols to provide maximum guarantees of protection for exhibitors and visitors.
It was the motto that the CICEG authorities had in mind to carry out the new edition of SAPICA in a hybrid way -virtual and in person-.
For this, all the necessary sanitary measures will be applied so that the event offers the maximum security conditions for exhibitors and visitors. A series of health protocols will be implemented during its operation and there will be vigilance committees in the corridors and stands for their compliance. It should be noted that a new air conditioning system was installed that will have ultraviolet light modules to ensure the innocuousness of the spaces.
The corridors will have a width between 4 and 6 meters, when in previous editions it was 3 and 3.5 meters. Also at the entrances to the stands, depending on their surface, there will be a notice with the number of people allowed in that space, and according to this will be the attention to visitors.
At the main entrance of the fair the temperature of all attendees will be controlled and the use of face masks will be mandatory.
In statements by the president of CICEG -Chamber of Industry of the State of Guanajuato-, Alfredo Padilla Villalpando, to the press, the representative of the shoemakers, said:
"Our responsibility has been clear from the beginning, we decided to carry out SAPICA with all sanitary measures to maintain a safe business environment and for this, as I have commented, we have a Health, Safety and Prevention Protocol SAPICA Chapter that we will implement at the fair, in addition to the measures that the Poliforum has implemented in its enclosure. It is a double commitment, because we seek the reactivation of businesses, the generation of opportunities for footwear and leather goods factories, which will be reflected in the generation of sources of employment and positive impacts for the State of Guanajuato, in a safe trade fair”.
“We will have a hybrid event, because in addition to the live fair, our national and international buyers who cannot attend the live edition will be able to generate business through the SAPICA DIGITAL platform, which will give them the opportunity to visit the exhibitors at their virtual stands where they can contact them and generate opportunities”.
To complement the live fair, the SAPICA organizers make a new business alternative available to participants and interested parties through an effective digital platform. For those who wish, without the need to travel, schedules and from any geographical point, exhibitors and buyers will be able to carry out their searches and contacts for online commerce.
In addition to the special care for the health aspect, the manifesto and contents prepared by SAPICA contemplate the direct interests of all the players in the sector.
“In the footwear and leather goods industry, we have faced multiple challenges. This time it will not be the exception and the passion we feel for our industry is the engine that drives us to reinvent ourselves”.
“The crisis becomes an opportunity. For this next SAPICA we evolve our strategy with the vision of reactivating our economy and strengthening the value chain. We want to promote dialogue and negotiations between exhibitors and buyers to face this new reality”. These are some of the purposes of the event.
With the presence of prominent professionals at the national and international level, the fair will host the Knowledge Pavilion, the space where conferences and dissertations will be given on branding, fashion retail, digital marketing, visual merchandising, consumer trends and different topics of sectorial interest.
Its organizers have anticipated some of the names of the participants in this cycle. Among them are Anna Fusoni, a journalist, businesswoman and trend analyst of English origin based in Mexico; Carlos Silis, founder of The Moonshot Company, specialist in marketing strategies in the digital age; Coro Saldaña, expert in fashion and digital business; Edel Dévora, director of Art and Visual, and of Offline Time Experience; Francisco Servia, from the Amazon team, with vast experience in business models, products and digital services; Gustavo Prado, Mexican professor, curator and researcher who will refer to economic trends for 2021; and Andy Stalman, one of the world's leading brand experts.
To live a unique experience, visiting and knowing the most outstanding points of a city full of culture, history, strength and good customs. Temples, museums, parks, shopping centers and gastronomic circuits will delight those who dare to explore it. Always to the rhythm of the beats of the shoemaker's heart that characterizes it.
