From APIMEX, they reported at the beginning of May that 49 associates had expanded their production to new items. Thus, the companies had included in their activity, products and supplies related to the health emergency derived from the pandemic.
Manufactured items included medical equipment, masks, bags, face masks, gowns, antibacterial gels, textiles, sanitizers, adhesives, etc., which were added to the products that had already been manufactured for the footwear, textile-clothing, leather goods, automotive and furniture sector.
The objective of diversification in production was to provide the supplies required at that time, expand markets, preserve jobs and active manufacturing units.
