The Association of Industrial Supplier Companies of Mexico -APIMEX- held its first SUPPLIERS SEARCH SHOWROOM business meeting, in which it organized appointments between member supplier companies and representatives of recognized transnational brands that require materials and components for various industries other than leather-footwear or automotive.
To do this, APIMEX summoned the firm MEXICAN SOURCING, a broker hired by original equipment manufacturers, to represent the corporate purchasing departments of different international companies, assigned to transfer the production lines from China to Mexico.
In this way, 13 brands such as: HONEYWELL, LASKO, AFFINITY, JOHNSON OUTDOORS, BORA PORTAMATE, among others, presented their requirements to APIMEX member supplier companies. Among the materials for manufactures sought were: plastics, electronics, metal parts, packaging, hides and skins, labels, rubbers, fabrics, elastics, aluminum, neoprene, paints, machinery and other products.
The Executive President of APIMEX, Guillermo Romero Pacheco, said that this event is an opportunity for the members and participating Guanajuato companies to invest in new projects, targeting the export market.
For his part, the vice president of new sectors of APIMEX, Javier Robles Alaníz, said that "thanks to the companies that MÉXICO SOURCING represents, they detected growth opportunities with new market niches that should be exploited".
He also affirmed that “both APIMEX and MÉXICO SOURCING share the same objective, which is to reactivate the economy of the industries, establishing collaboration ties between purchasing companies and Mexican suppliers, now more than ever is the time to join forces and support the companies of our country".
